Will Paul George & Carmelo Anthony Stay Past This Season?
Last year, we witnessed arguably the greatest performance for any NBA player, as Russell Westbrook averaged a triple-double in the 2017 season. Unfortunately, his play was hindered in the post-season, as he lacked wing-support to spread the floor for himself and Steven Adams. Soon after, the team made two blockbuster acquisitions, with landing both Carmelo Anthony and Paul George.
On initial glimpses of the team throughout the post-season; Melo, PG-13 and Westbrook all seemed to be differing to each other, letting the other player take more open shots. However, head coach Billy Donovan will likely ensure two of the three stars remain on the court at all-times throughout the game. This should ease egos on getting a minimal of 15 shots per-game until next spring.
Our only concern is whether or not the team will be committed to playing defense, because that’s the only way they’ll have a shot at contending with the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs.
