10 Burning Questions Beyond the 2018 NBA Season

Are the Rockets going to regret not trading for Carmelo?

One of the more shocking scenarios of the off-season, was the Houston Rockets not landing Carmelo Anthony. Although the team did get Chris Paul, to help ease the point-guard duties away from James Harden, they were one of the biggest losers. The team was on the verge of becoming a legitimate threat to the Golden State Warriors, but will now possibly have to wait another season before they have a shot at convincing Melo to leave the OKC Thunder next summer.

The New York Knicks refused to take back the contract of Ryan Anderson and the Rockets were reluctant to get rid of their bench in Eric Gordon. However, we believe the front-office should’ve gave up their bench for Anthony this off-season. We feel this is imperative to any franchise wanting to become a title scenario, because role players can always be replaced – but not superstars.

They’ll enjoy another 45-plus win year, but it’ll catch up to them when they run into elite teams. We’re just hopeful this doesn’t lead to CP3 and the Beard having a falling out with their head coach.
