The Start of a rebirth for the Boston Celtics

Since trading away Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo and forcing Ray Allen out, the Boston Celtics managed to obtain a 40 win season. The team missed the playoffs last year for the first time since the big three era stared in 2007, but have quickly returned back to be a respected organization among teams in the east.

Whether the masses have been sleeping on them isn’t an issue Danny Ainge and his collection of players in the New England area, but the hardcore fans of the NBA have seen what they’ve done since trading away former team captain Rajon Rondo. Led by trade-deadline acquired point guard Isaiah Thomas, the Celtics have avoided any scenario of being a lottery bound team to legitimate give fans some hope of attracting a free agent down the line to attract a legit elite player to the league’s most prestige franchise of all time.

No person living and breathing wants to see this happen more than Ainge, who’s taken full blame and responsibility for the team last year and trading away multiple assets to look towards the future. Along with two first round draft picks in their pockets for June’s big day, LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers aren’t overlooking what the Celtics have done in recent weeks, including a recent defeat to them just last week. Celtic Pride has been dead for quite some time but Boston is taking baby steps into making their voice heard again among the league.
