10 Unexpected Things To Happen During The 2015 NBA Playoffs

Kevin Love Returns To Elite Status In His First Playoffs

Throughout the season, Kevin Love has seen constant scrutiny from the media for not fitting into his “Chris Bosh” role with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. Surprisingly, since their five game losing streak to start the New Year, the team has only lost 9 games in play throughout the duration of the season.

The team made significant additions adding J.R. Smith, Timofey Mozgov and Iman Shumpert before the trade deadline to give the team new life and make sure LeBron felt this team could be legit title defenders. The former Minnesota Timberwolves superstar, from the outside looking in, has been the one player who’s struggled the most with adjusting to not being a primary scorer.

LBJ ended all speculation of any internal rift this week, when he publicly came out to support Love, saying he should be the league’s MVP – jokingly. But for a former superstar to contribute efficient numbers around two superstars in a new city and not complain is something we have to condemn. The LeBron and Love dynamic has also had a better offensive-efficacy than LeBron and Kyrie on the court together.

While the two continue to troll people through social media or interviews, the entire team is all on the sage page, with only one goal and that’s to bring Cleveland their first major sports championship in over 50 years. While Love has rested through spurts of the regular season with first head coach David Blatt trying to ensure his team wouldn’t have major injuries from its big three, we expect the Cavalier-training wheels to be taken off Love in his first ever playoff run alongside the King and Kyrie.
