10 Unexpected Things To Happen During The 2015 NBA Playoffs

The Atlanta Hawks Not Making The Eastern Conference Finals

Are the Atlanta Hawks on the verge of breaking down due to injuries? Last season, the dirty birds took the Indiana Pacers to a 7-game series and pushed Paul George’s team on the brink of elimination. With their team captain Al Horford out for the entire season with injuries, he’s returned this year to help give them the best record in the Eastern Conference and most wins ever at 60. Mike Budenholzer is almost a lock for coach of the year, turning them around from 20 games under even to 20 games .500 basketball with his core collection.

Unfortunately, the team has major injuries currently with Paul Millsap dealing with a very sore shoulder (maybe torn) and perimeter shutdown defender Thabo Sefolosha out for the season with an injured ankle due to a recent NYPD arrest. The team is a favorite to get past the Brooklyn Nets, who have been playing surprisingly good basketball over the last few weeks, but getting past Toronto in the 2nd round is something we can’t see happening.

With both of the previously mentioned role players injured, the Hawks could be in a vulnerable state with lack of depth against more talented teams – bench wise. This is unfortunate; because we were legit hoping this team could bring a big breath of fresh of air to the NBA Finals, without having to see the same faces the entire decade. The Hawks fans could more so use this post-season run as an evaluation for playoff basketball and aspirations of landing a major free agent to join the team 2 Chainz currently runs.
