2014 NBA Playoffs 1st Round

thunder
(2) Oklahoma City Thunder vs. (7) Memphis Grizzlies
Oklahoma City Leads Series 1-0

The hottest team heading into the playoffs is currently the Memphis Grizzlies. Luckily for the Oklahoma City Thunder, they have the best offensive duo in the entire NBA with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, along with a great cast of supporting role players. Memphis clawed their way into the playoffs, knocking the Phoenix Suns out of contention earlier this week.

The Grizzlies still have the best front-court tandem in all of the NBA with Zach Randolph and Mark Gasol, which should be motivation for them like years past. Luckily the Thunder have two of the best defensive paint defenders in the NBA. What’s going to separate these two teams is the perimeter shooting. Westbrook and Durant should be able to have their way with the Grizzlies back-court, but this series could last longer than Oklahoma City would like.
