Phoenix Suns get: Kris Humphries, DeJuan Blair, protected first-round pick
Washington Wizards get: Markieff Morris
Last summer, the Phoenix Suns created some unnecessary animosity trading away Marcus Morris. His twin brother, Markieff, was left behind in Arizona after Ryan McDonough gave them his word, neither would be dealt without the other following behind. After a sideline scuffle with a teammate, that was the final straw for the Markieff Morris tenure out west.
They soon shipped him out to D.C. earlier today, to pair him up with John Wall and the Washington Wizards. While the DMV squad has their own internal issues of seeing consistency from Marcin Gortat, as well as injuries to Nene Hilario – they traded away Kris Humphries and DeJuan Blair back to Phoenix for a pick. With Wall looking to properly present himself to the masses as the best point guard in the NBA not named Steph Curry or Russell Westbrook (check the stats), the team’s future is still in limbo on awaiting a summer decision from Kevin Durant.
