49ers Owner Jed York, broke ground on the new 49ers stadium late Thursday afternoon. The new $1.2B stadium is set to open in time for the 2014 season with the 49ers in hopes of landing a bid for either 2016 and 2017 Super Bowl. The stadium will seat 68,500 as well as 9,000 club seats. Parking is expected to be more convenient for ticket-goers as well as a new heavy and light rail system directly to the stadium.
