The More than noticeable reach advantage for Floyd

Mayweather’s reach advantage was overlooked by most covering this fight as a deciding factor into who would walk away with the victory. Not that it was that significant, but factor in his insane defensive ability to avoid punches and it could’ve been arguably the reason why he walked away smiling with his $100 million dollar check.

Already being unable to connect with his southpaw left-jab combos and lack of footwork we’re not use to seeing, Manny couldn’t close the gap at all against Floyd. This was evident during the latter stages of the event, which Mayweather was even taunting him at the end of the fight. With even shorter arms, this was almost an unfortunate walk in the park for Floyd, as many were hoping the two would have a knockout finish.

While this wasn’t the case in the decision outcome, we just felt sad for Manny during the 12 round not being able to connect with numerous punches and failed flurries of corner hitting through frustration.
