Trade Carmelo Anthony During Off-Season
Right now, the New York Knicks should focus on rebuilding, because their summer off-season acquisitions of veterans and a coach who can’t be great with freedom are hindering them moving forward. Sadly, this starts with the exit of Carmelo Anthony – who will be 33 years old this spring.
To Melo’s defense, he’s never played with a completely healthy team or fellow pieces that compliment his game since first arriving to the big apple. Unfortunately, the team looks to be headed for a top lottery pick in this June’s NBA Draft, which could mean the end of the Anthony-era.
We feel really bad for the fans, who believed they were improving this year, but that looks highly unlikely. At the moment, the Knicks have a chance to acquire young talent, expiring contracts for salary cap relief and even potential future draft picks.
