Hear us out. As long as James Dolan is the owner of the New York Knicks, Isiah Thomas will always be around Madison Square Garden. After the infamous sexual harassment controversy, last decade, Thomas has quietly worked his way back up through the ranks of running the WNBA’s New York Liberty – who were the best team in their conference. Before Thomas was fired, he was actually intriguing for free agents to trust with their NBA future, including the likes of Zach Randolph, Jamal Crawford, Stephon Marbury, and even Eddy Curry to name a few.
Yes, before Eddy Curry ate away his contract, he was averaging 20 points game. With Thomas, he even attracted respectable coaches like Larry Brown and Mike D’Antoni, as New York has been desperately trying to re-hire Jeff Van Gundy, who refuses to come back. We’re not saying hand Zeek the keys; but with a professional talent evaluator who knows the game, we’re sure the Knicks would’ve been able to have a sit-down with LaMarcus Aldridge and Kevin Durant last two summers.
