The streak is over!
The Philadelphia 76ers were inching towards a record worst, with one more loss in their 0-17 season. Going into their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, all was needed was another L to tie for the worst record in NBA history.
Luckily for the Sixers, none of that happened. The weight is now off their shoulders. Even though they led by 10 points in the 1st quarter, the past two games that occurred this season, they wound up losing anyway. This night was different.
Led by the effort of Michael Carter-Williams, who finished the night with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists, Philadelphia went lights out with 3-pointers thanks to Robert Covington and K.J. McDaniels to seal the 85-77 victory against the Timberwolves on Wednesday night.
The 76ers now travel back home to face the OKC Thunder on Friday night.
Congrats lil homies. Keep fighting and stay strong #Sixer4Life
