The #TankForWiggins campaign is in rare form out in Philadelphia. The 76ers made history tonight against the New York Knicks on their own home floor, tying the single season record for the second-logest losing streak in NBA history. After tonight’s loss, they join the club that includes the 1995-96 Vancouver Grizzlies, 1997-98 Denver Nuggets and 2011-12 Charlotte Bobcats with 23 consecutive losses.
After the Knicks sat down all their starters, the 76ers had a glimmer of hope by getting to with three with the help of a Carmelo Anthony missed free throw, but Michael Carter Williams couldn’t convert the triple to tie the game.
Philadelphia only needs to lose the next three games to really make NBA history.
