In an attempt to get fans to buy more jerseys, the NBA has released a new format for this year‘s style (thank God they’re not sleeved, right?) and it’s on a first name basis. To do things a little different, players will wear jerseys with their first names on the back under the number, as opposed to the usual last name like we’ve always seen. As you can see, All-Stars like Derrick Rose, LeBron James, Tim Duncan and John Wall all have their first name’s on the back, with a minimal look on the front (the logo for the team will replace the name or city).
Adidas will be selling the jerseys for $110 a pop for a limited of time, ahead of the Christmas games.
This year, the lineup looks to be one that includes matchups between the Wizards at Knicks, Thunder at Spurs, Cavaliers at Heat, Lakers at Bulls and Warriors at Clippers.
