Concussions and CTE is a very real subject that’s going on in the NFL right now and although the league won’t take responsibility, there are protocols put in place to protect players even further. Aaron Rodgers has been a victim of multiple concussions and he talked about the subject during his visit to Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons.
In the conversation, he recalls his first and second concussion and revealed that he lost sight in one eye for one of them. The second time around, he was so disoriented, he couldn’t even call the play and mentioned the fact he was at the line of scrimmage dazed. He didn’t even know what play was called and whether it was a run or pass.
He also suggested that players be more aware of the symptoms and not try to act a certain way if they do happen to have a concussion and hopes the league helps those in need that have retired.

In what was supposed to be the “Speed Round” with Rodgers, Simmons asked him a few questions and the two went on a tangent about being calm in the huddle, the league trying to make both sides of the ball more balanced, penalties being called more than before and more.
