Fantasy Football owners who had Aaron Rodgers starting last night (oh, Green Bay Packers fans too), we know you feel our pain when we saw him exit the first quarter in last night’s Monday Night Football game against the Chicago Bears.
According to initial reports, Rodgers suffered a small fracture in his collarbone, something that can see him out for three weeks. The injury came when Bears defensive end Shea McClellin put the hurt on Rodgers during the opening drive of the game. Packers trainers took him to the locker room shortly after for x-rays and he made a return late in the second half, without pads on, indicating the injury might be a serious one.
UPDATE: Timetable for Rodgers return is unknown as of now.
The latest injury to Aaron Rodgers is one of many to riddle Green Bay all year, as he joins teammates Clay Matthews (thumb), Randall Cobb (fibula) and Jermichael Finley (neck), on the list of those who have been banged up this season.
Starting in place of Rodgers next week is Seneca Wallace, who saw play time last night, but couldn’t convert down the stretch when the Packers were inching for the comeback. The good news for Green Bay is, James Jones and James Starks are back in action and could see more playing time next week when they host the Philadelphia Eagles.
