The Oakland Raiders have been surprising some teams, with a few of their games this year being decided in the last few minutes of the game. If luck was on their side a little more, they might be fucking around with a 5-1 record and shocking the entire NFL. One thing is for sure, though Derek Carr to Amari Cooper connection has been working in their favor.
Today, they gave the San Diego Chargers a run for their money, playing like the Chargers should have and unlike what nobody predicted going into the game. Carr was slanging out throws like it was a walk in the park, completely burning holes through the San Diego defense, with none coming bigger than his 52-yard touchdown to Cooper.
Unlike previous plays where he launched one down the field, this one was a screen pass that got great blocking down the field, and then Amari’s speed and athleticism did the rest. He finished the game with 5 catches for 133 yards and 1 touchdown.
