Young Wiggins!
The Minnesota Timberwolves are battling around five other teams in the Western Conference for that eighth spot, but it’s still early in the season. On Saturday night, they hosted the fifth place Indiana Pacers at home in a game that featured Paul George against the young Wolves squad.
One of the highlights of the night came from future star Andrew Wiggins, who beat PG13 off a screen and pulled up for the jumper. When he saw the shot wasn’t going to go in, he dashed towards the basket and towered over George for the put-back. Paul didn’t box out and had no idea Wiggins was coming in, ending up on the bottom of the slam when it was all said and done.
Andrew ended the game with 19 points on the night, outscoring George by one point (he had 18).
