The future of KNICKSTAPE basketball
The last few times we’ve posted about rookie Kristaps Porzingis, he’s been on the receiving end of these types of plays, but on Sunday night at Madison Square Garden, he had a share of highlights.
The one that was circulating around Twitter was actually him lobbing a three-pointer from way downtown (you know, that Steph Curry range) and making it with ease. You know seven footers aren’t supposed to be draining long distance shots like that.
In this instance, GODZINGIS went back to doing what he does best: clean up the boards. After Robin Lopez tried to make a play happen with a hook shot, he missed off the rim and before Greg Monroe could snatch down the board, the ‘Zinger literally came out of nowhere and dunked it home in reverse. He just creeped up by the baseline and waited for it.
Carmelo Anthony led all New York Knicks scorers in the victory with 24 points & 10 rebounds against the Milwaukee Bucks, while Porzingis added 15 points and 6 rebounds of his own.
