Get Well soon Arian
Arian Foster‘s tenure with the Houston Texans may be at the end of the road. The star running back suffered a torn Achilles in the fourth quarter on a non-contact play against the Miami Dolphins earlier today. The team will conduct an MRI tomorrow to confirm the extent of the injury.
The worst part is the injury came at the end of the 4th quarter, as the Texans were down 44-20 in the game and had no hope to win. Foster said it happened on a routine play as he tried to make a cut and went down immediately, clutching at his Achilles. He was carted off the field and taken to the locker room, where he was seen on crutches after the game.

It’ll be interesting to see what Houston does with Foster, considering his age and the fact he is owed $9.3 million next year after missing 14 games in the past two seasons. The team may decided to take their losses and look towards a future without their injury-prone running back, and look for a cheaper option in the draft.

UPDATE: MRI confirms Foster suffered an ACL tear and he will be out for the season. His timeline for recovery is looking like 6-9 months as of now. He finishes the season rushing 163 yards and a touchdown while tacking on 22 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns. Alfred Blue and Chris Polk will take over duties at running back in his absence.
