In one of the last-minute transfers of the busy summer window, Danny Welbeck has agreed a deal to join Arsenal from Man Utd. The England striker has signed a long-term contract for around £16m ($27m), becoming the final addition to Wenger’s 2014 squad, alongside the likes of Sanchez, Debuchy and Chambers. After finding out that Giroud would be out of action for several months, the Gunners had no choice but to find a forward to begin the 2013/14 season. Welbeck, who scored 29 goals in 142 appearances for United, is deemed the right man for the job.
