Following last night’s tough draw against Atletico Madrid, it’s been announced that Barcelona have been banned from bringing in new players for the next two windows, due to breaching terms within the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18. The case involves the process of 10 minor players, as well as breaking regulations with several other players at the club, and have also been fined 450,000 Swiss francs as a result of this. Additionally, the Spanish FA have been fined 500,000 Swiss francs for the registration of the players.
Only time will tell if the restrictions will take a toll on their quest for glory in all competitions next season, or whether the ban will eventually be removed.
