Following a 73-65 loss to Murray State, Southern Illinois Men’s basketball head coach Barry Hinson delivered in our opinion the greatest sports rant of the year. This marks Hinson’s 2nd season at Southern Illinois (with a record of 16-25), and after last night’s loss he finally hit a breaking point. He publicly blasted his players calling them uncoachable in a press conference, which was leaps above Allen Iveron’s “Practice” rant in hilarity. Hinson even cited his wife having more ability to play harder than his big men, calling them momma’s boys and even using a “Bad Dog” analogy to his players (without hitting them with the newspaper).
“We made three turnovers tonight, where we just threw them the ball. I thought one time, one of our players said Merry Christmas and it was gift. I thought they signed the package. When you have a young team, it’s a lot like house training a young puppy dog. Whenever the dog does something wrong, BAD DOG!”
