After securing a goal each in the first leg at Old Trafford, Bayern Munich came from behind on the night to cruise to the semi-final with a 3-1 win against Man Utd. The German side dominated the first half in terms of possession, but were unable to break through the team with United holding a strong back line. The second half began quickly and Evra managed to grab the first goal of the game by scoring from 25 yards. The away side’s lead was cancelled out just minutes later as Mandzukic fired back and headed the ball home to make it 1-1. Less than 10 minutes later, Muller converted from close range after picking up a cross from Robben. The game was all but over when Robben was allowed to take control of the area before 80 mins, who firmly placed his shot into the bottom corner to make it 3-1.
Bayern will find out on Friday who they will play in their semi-final fixture, after Chelsea, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid also won their games this week.
