No. 1 Florida State vs. No. 2 Auburn

Now that is exactly what you want to see from the BCS national title game! Congratulations to the Florida State Seminoles on completing the perfect season and winning it all. This one wasn’t easy though, as they had to battle back from a 21-10 halftime deficit. The 2nd half of the game then turned to another level as the teams continued to trade scores and the drama mounted. We saw a kick return TD by Florida State followed by a dramatic run by Tre Mason to then give Auburn back the lead.
Now it was all on Heisman winner Jameis Winston to prove his worth and he did that in a big way, as he lead the Seminoles down the field to score the game winning TD with 13 seconds left. How good was he? Try going 6-7 on the drive to cap the incredible season. This completes one of the greatest seasons ever for a college QB and especially for a Freshman Quarterback at that. We can’t wait to see what Jameis has in store for the NCAAA next season!

Keys For Florida State
- Let Jameis Winston Cook Early & Often: It is no secret that Florida State relies heavily on Heisman winner Jameis Winston and why shouldn’t they? The key for them tonight will be to let Winston do his thing right off the bat. They need to do what got them here, and that is an all-out passing attack.
- Try And Slow Down Auburn: This will be no easy task. Auburn boasts an offense based around running the football and getting up to the line quickly to catch the defense off guard. For FSU, they must slow this down as much as possible and keep Auburn out of short down distances. It could be the difference between winning and losing.
- Be Ready For A Close Game: Close games are not Florida State’s forte, and for good reason. They don’t have experience in this because they blew everyone out this past year. If this one is close then they need to be ready to execute with everything on the line.
Keys For Auburn
- Don’t Fall Behind Early: The most important thing for Auburn is to not let FSU get an early lead on them. With the way their offense is run, falling behind 2 touchdowns could spell a ton of trouble. They need to keep it close so they can fully run their offensive system the way it is intended.
- Contain Florida State’s Offense As Much As Possible: Being real, we know that Auburn isn’t going to stop Florida State, but they do need to at least try and contain them. This means avoiding giving up the big play TD’s to Winston and company, that can full swing the momentum of the game. Forcing 1 or 2 turnovers would also be ideal for Auburn, but that may be asking too much.
- Do What Got You Here: They say that Auburn is a team of destiny. Well, tonight the Tigers need to fully embrace it. Use the “we have been through it all this year” tactic to get inside of Florida State’s heads and try and steal the game. Auburn may be the underdog, but as we have seen this season, that really means nothing to them.
