The Philadelphia 76ers are a little more than a week away from being on the clock and selecting the number one pick in the NBA Draft. Most are pegging them to select Ben Simmons with the top pick, but Brandon Ingram continues making a case for being the top pick as well. Even though the Sixers are crowded on the front court, they’ve already showed signs that they are willing to part with either Nerlens Noel or Jahlil Okafor for the right price, making room for Simmons to come in and start day one.
In this video, Ben is seen working out in time for the draft and he opened up a bit about what it means to make it to the NBA. He says he patterns his game a lot like LeBron James (hence the comparisons) and he’s been dreaming of the day his name is called to be in the league since seven years old. He also said he’s been in the gym every day working on getting better.
It’ll be interesting how he pans out compared to Ingram, with the two considered the best prospects in this class. There’s always one that does better in the long run, though.
