The 2013 Pro Football Hall of Fame Class Includes 3 First-Ballot Inductees With One Snub.
Earlier today, the long-awaited Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2013 inductees were finally announced with Warren Sapp, Larry Allen and Jonathan Ogden all making it into the special class of legends in their first year of eligibility. Coach Bill Parcells makes the class in his 2nd year of eligibility along with senior inductees Curley Culp and Dave Robinson. Minnesota Vikings wideout Chris Carter finally makes it into the hall after a five year wait which questions the voting process that happens behind the scenes.
The big elephant in the room is Michael Strahan not getting the vote. In his first year of being eligible for the hall, he fell just short of Warren Sapp (Yes, re-read that) in voting due to the NFL Networks large campaign all year for their GameDay Morning and Total Access analyst. Those joining Strahan as the finalist that didn’t make the ’13 cut include Andre Reed, Jerome Bettis, Aeneas Williams and Charles Haley.
