You miserable fuck, you took an oath & broke it

After years of proclaiming his innocence and denying performance enhancement drug usage, New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez finally confessed to taking part in the infamous Biogenesis scandal. Unlike clinic founder Tony Bosch, who couldn’t avoid charges after his summer surrender, Rodriguez was granted full immunity for admitting to participation in the billion dollar scheme.

Tuesday morning, U.S. District Judge Darrin Gayles imposed a 4-year sentence to Bosch for illegal drug distribution to professional athletes and high school students – after cooperation in the investigation. Upon his release, he is to receive three years of supervision. With the formal trial for the now-closed Biogenesis of America clinic, both Bosch and Rodriguez are expected to testify in a scheduled trail set for April.

Rodriguez’s cousin Yuri Sucart and former University of Miami pitching coach Lazaro Collazo are the unfortunate pair who will see stiffer punishment during court hearings. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more of Coral Gables-based saga to unfold, from the two former friends – and their now former friends.

Disclaimer: Prosecutors said Anthony Bosch could still get his sentence reduced through further cooperation.
