Blake Griffin Hits First Ever Game-Winning 3-Pointer

The Suns get a first taste of High Griffinition!

After starting their season with unfortunate mediocrity, the Los Angeles Clippers have quietly won 8 consecutive games. The Phoenix Suns were over in So-Cal for a division game against Chris Paul’s Clippers, but would fall victim to Blake Griffin down the stretch. Even with Eric Bledsoe having one of his biggest triple doubles ever (27 points, 16 assists, and 11 rebounds), it wasn’t enough at the end of intermission to obtain a victory.

Blake Griffin would showcase a variety of highlights through the game as usual, but his defense play down the stretch stuck out more than anything. Down 2 points with only 3 seconds left, CP3 would inbound to Blake on an immediate switch-screen and would drain a long-distance three pointer for the game winner.

The shot would have some dramatic effect initially hitting the front of the rim, but would bounce back down a few tenths of a second later for the lucky roll. Although Blake hasn’t had the numbers he would like this season thus far, he had a coming out party last night netting 45 points in 43 minutes of play.
