Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin recently underwent surgery to remove a staph infection from his right elbow and according to multiple sources, he could be out of action for up to six weeks, which will make this next stretch of games pretty difficult for the Clippers. He’s the team’s leading scorer, with an average of 22.5 points per game as well as 7.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists.
Due to the injury, he’s already been replaced by Damian Lillard in the All-Star lineup.
Lob City has some tough games on the schedule in the next month, and the absence of Griffin could mean the difference between a win and a loss for LA, especially in that tough Western Conference. He’s had to deal with elbow issues before as he regularly drains a bursitis sack in his elbow throughout the season. Here’s hoping he’s only out for three weeks, for the Clippers’ sake.
Meanwhile, taking advantage in his absence, DeAndre Jordan, who had 27 rebounds last night in L.A.’s win against the Dallas Mavericks last night.
