Knicks fans, meet Brandon Jennings!
Over recent years, with the exception of their 2012 team that could’ve went deep in the playoffs (see: Amar’s vs. Fire Extinguisher), the New York Knicks have lost their gritty edge. The team had become soft, since the exists of their front-court of Patrick Ewing, Charles Oakley and Anthony Mason.
While that three-head monster will likely never be replaced in the near future, newly acquired free agent, Brandon Jennings, brought some of that reminiscent toughness to the team last night.
Following an almost scuffle with Casper Ware of the Washington Wizards, the Madison Square Garden crowd of twenty thousand instantly started chanting his name.
After missing time over the last three seasons due to injuries, Jennings is expected to serve as backup to Derrick Rose, where he’ll look to return to form of major contributions from years past.
