Braxton Miller Completes 54-Yard Spin Move TD in Ohio State Rally over Virginia Tech

The no. 1 ranked team in America saw an early scare!

The Virginia Tech Hokies may not be a ranked team to start the 2015 NCAAF season; but they sure did make a great impression initially to the sports world against the defending National Champion and no 1. ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. Prior to the final game of opening week action, OSU Head Coach Urban Meyer decided to give Cardale Jones the nod at starting quarterback over J.T. Barrett – giving Buckeyes fans an outlook on what to expect this year.

Barrett broke his ankle last season against Michigan, which Jones would lead the team during the final three games of the season to win a title, as Meyer decided to stay with the hot hand. Monday night against the Hokies, the OSU offense started the game with back-to-back scores from Curis Samuel and Ezekiel Elliot. Down 0-14, Virginia Tech would completely shut down their opponents offensively, going on a 17-0 run to take a lead at halftime.

Quarterback Michael Brewer, who was banged up before intermission gave his team a halftime speech saying, “It’s going to take a lot more than a hit to get me out of the game.” Well, the Buckeyes defense immediately responded to those claims in the second half, literally crushing Brewer – which soon forced him to leave the game with a broken collarbone.

With the opposing QB out for the game their offense in complete shambles, Braxton Miller would treat fans with the best highlight of the week during the third quarter, where he broke through multiple defenders on an insane spin-move to complete a 54-yard touchdown from Jones.

Following the wicked highlight, OSU would go on a 28-7 run to cap off their first victory of the season and prepare for their home opener against Hawaii this Saturday.
