Braxton Miller Out for 2014 After Re-Injuring Shoulder

Braxton Miller & Ohio State’s season may be over following Monday practice.

Ohio State was ecstatic once they learned that their quarterback would be returning for his senior season. That joy has quickly turned to pain in the form of a nagging shoulder injury for both Ohio State and Braxton Miller, who had surgery on the shoulder in February.

Unfortunately, it’s also his throwing arm, which kept him out of spring practice and was limited in preseason camp as well. The team, along with college football enthusiasts had high hopes for Miller and the Buckeyes this season, as they landed at the no. 5 spot in the preseason rankings. The main reason for that optimism and high expectation?

UPDATE: Braxton Miller is reportedly out for the entire 2014 season following the MRI this morning. The Heisman hopeful will be forced to miss his entire senior season, one which he easily could have skipped to enter the NFL Draft – very sad news for such a talented player.
