Besides Ben Simmons, Brandon Ingram and Kris Dunn, one of the other story lines that has been under-the-radar but still anticipated is that of Buddy Hield. He joins a shaky situation in New Orleans with the Pelicans, with the team in desperate need of some help for superstar Anthony Davis. In this video, Buddy talks about how he felt leading up to opening night and stepping on the court for the first time as an NBA player.
After five games, Hield wasn’t getting too many minutes, but he’s been stepping up as of this week. He scored 18 points and played 31 minutes in Wednesday’s loss against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Pelicans still haven’t won a game all season (0-5), but they will try to end that streak tonight against the Phoenix Suns.
