Reports out of Charlotte, NC are that Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was in an two-car accident that transported him to the hospital in a stretcher with non-life threatening injuries.
The incident happened at around 12:30pm near the Panthers facilities. Cam was seen conscious coming out of the vehicle, but the extent of his injuries has not been determined. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance for precautionary reasons, as well as the other person involved in the accident. According to police, a car cut out in front of Newton and his Dodge Ram truck flipped three or four times.

UPDATE: Newton has suffered two transverse process fractures in his lower back but no internal injuries were shown after medical tests.
