Carmelo Anthony Hits Clutch Game-Winner in Overtime Against Hornets

The past week or two, the talk around town and inside Madison Square Garden has been Kristaps Porzingis. The young bull has been going off in some games.

But tonight, the game belonged to Carmelo Anthony.

He scored a season high 35-points against the Charlotte Hornets and hit a game-winning shot with three seconds remaining in overtime to give the New York Knicks the win. He actually tried to do it as time expired, but it didn’t go down. So he redeemed himself in OT.

The Hornets had a chance to tie it with time running out, but Derrick Rose blocked Kemba Walker‘s 3-pointer that actually would have won the game. Not tonight, though.

Rose and Porzingis both had 16 points in the Knicks win to go along with Melo’s double-double.
