Following rumors of an imminent return to the Premier League, it’s been announced that Cesc Fabregas will be be returning to English football after signing for Chelsea earlier today. Now aged 27, the versatile Spanish footballer will be transferring from his boyhood club Barcelona for the second time in his career, having played for fellow London side Arsenal between 2003 and 2011.
The deal to sign for Mourinho’s team will last for the next five years with the number four shirt, meaning he could stay at the club for the remainder of his top-flight days as a player. Cesc’s second period at Barcelona saw him win the La Liga, Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
