Prayers go out to Bosh and his family
What was supposed to be a relaxing All-Star weekend, has turned into an unfortunate situation for Chris Bosh that could see him sidelined for the rest of the season.
After a short couples vacation in Haiti and Dwyane Wade, Bosh was reported to feel ill while there. Upon his return, Miami Heat doctors ordered the power forward to head to the hospital for tests after feeling discomfort in his chest and “under the weather” at practice. Initial reports are saying Chris may have a blood clot in his lung, but official diagnosis is still pending for tests to come back. A condition like the one may be facing typically takes up to six months of recovery, with very limited activity, including blood thinners for medication to treat it.
The news is a huge blow to the Heat, who just acquired Goran Dragic in a last minute trade with the Phoenix Suns yesterday. The team sits at the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference standings currently, heading into the second half of the season.
UPDATE: The Miami Heat have officially announced that Chris Bosh will be missing the remainder of the season after blood clots started to develop in one of his lungs yesterday. He is currently receiving treatment for the health issue, and being cared for by Heat physicians at South Florida hospital where he is resting comfortably.
