Golden State in 2016 Durant derby?
If Stephen A. Smith ruining Los Angeles Lakers fans wishes of Kevin Durant’s exit to Hollywood this off-season wasn’t enough, Chris Broussard was on Sports Center recently to drop a major rumor. Apparently, the ESPN Basketball analyst believes Kevin Durant is quietly plotting a potential exit to the Golden State Warriors in the off-season – which could shake up the entire landscape of the NBA.
While the league’s former MVP has avoided questions regarding off-season his plans for the upcoming 2016 free agency rush, Broussard revealed that multiple GMs and league executives are surprisingly throwing out the Golden State name – since he’s approaching the biggest pay day of his career to date. Since this is a Chris Broussard rumor, we have to take it with a grain of salt; but it’s always something to monitor, with the league’s cap set to increase.
