Reporters have been wilding out for post-game press conferences lately. Or maybe they’ve been pushing the NBA players buttons because it seems like every game, there has been an incident involving a question and answer that went left field.
Chris Paul was the latest to catch one of those after last night’s 96-92 loss to the Utah Jazz, reacting very comedic when asked if the Los Angeles Clippers would be back at STAPLES Center for a Game 7.
Of course, the reporter was referring to the fact that Game 6 will take place in Utah and is an elimination game for L.A., because they’ve become the victim of early playoff exits for years and this may be the last season they attempt to make a run for the title with Doc Rivers as head coach. If they can’t do it this season, it’s most likely the team is blown up and they have to rebuild.
The Clippers have already won once on the road, so it can be done, but with the return of Rudy Gobert and the Jazz playing at home, it’ll be a tough hill to climb.
Can this mean the end for Lob City as we know it?
