Is men’s College basketball really a joke?
Following consecutive NCAA Championships last week where his team went a second straight year undefeated, UConn Huskies Women’s Head Coach Geno Auriemma shared some comments that shocked the sports world. In a post-game interview, the UConn coach shared his opinion regarding men’s college hoops, calling it a joke – citing it’s so far behind the times, it’s unbelievable. Fellow 2015 Head Coach Champion, Mike Krzyzewski was guest on Showtime’s Jim Rone Show to share his two cents regarding if the sport is a joke.
During the brief segment, Coach K did agree that changes needed to be made, including a reduced shot clock and most of all having an actual commissioner for the sport.
