College Football Game-Day Highlight: No. 2 USC Upset By Stanford

Trojans Lose Their Fourth Straight To Cardinals For The First Time In Nearly 100 Years.

Saturday Night with the biggest game College Football’s Game-Day Saturday set, The no. 2 ranked USC Trojans travel to Stanford Stadium to play the no. 21 ranked Cardinals. Stanford QB, Josh Nunes outplayed Heisman Trophy hopeful Matt Barkley in a upset game leading to a Trojans 4th consecutive loss to Stanford.

USC center Khaled Holmes returned to play after injuring his right leg last week against Syracuse but struggled in limited time as the team ONLY had 26 total rushing yards on 28 attempts. This would contribute to the Trojans o-line failed to protect Barkley throughout the entire as he was sacked four times. With USC’s struggling run game, Stanford held them to no thrown touchdowns the entire game as they went 1 for 13 on third down tries along with 3 turnovers.

Now with the Trojans already having a loss, this could of hurts their chances at a National Championship bid heading up to their upcoming showdown against No. 4 ranked Oregon on Saturday, November 3rd. On that same day (Yes, November 3rd), the no. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide travel and play the No. 3 ranked LSU in what could be the biggest day of regular season college football play ever. My interest for college football just went way up now that a top 3 has lost a game in the opening weeks, and yours should too!
