Mamba Returning Back On December 25th or Responding Back To ESPN’s Performance Raking Criticism?
While no information from the Los Angeles Lakers organization has surfaced regarding the return of the Kobe Bryant, we got a potential spoiler today via twitter. The Black Mamba, changed his twitter avatar earlier today to the a picture showing the date “1225”; which is the date for Christmas Day, December 25th.
The Los Angeles Lakers host the LeBron James and the Miami Heat that day, and Kobe is always looking to show up the boys from South Beach in their semi-annual festivities year-to-year. Los Angeles starts the season without Dwight, who took his talents to Houston; but also will also be seeing Steve Nash in a limited role this season. Players like Pau Gasol, Jodie Meeks, Nick Young and Wesley Johnson among others will be seeing an heavy increase in minutes this season; as head coach Mike D’Antoni will be pushing his signature fast-paced offense this time around centered around youth.
Stephen A. Smith of ESPN opened up today about the twitter avatar, saying he thinks Kobe is firing back at the network for ranking the Lakers 12th in the West; and placing him as the 25th ranked player of NBA. Both are good hot stories to keep the conversation going for when the Mamba when return and chase his 6th ring.
