Curve them before they curve you?
While Marshawn Lynch continues being one of the best running backs in the NFL, the Seattle Seahawks have made it known they are going to part ways with the standout back after this season, citing his salary and age as reasons. The defending Super Bowl champions also want to build the locker room around their star quarterback Russell Wilson.
A few sources inside Lynch’s camp have revealed that he might consider retirement due to health reasons as well. After years of big hits, BEASTMODE has suffered from back pain, partly because of the cartilage in his spinal cord being compressed (it should be noted he has only missed one game in the past four years). According to teammates in the locker room, Lynch has contemplated retirement before, saying he would if the Seahawks won the Super Bowl, which they did last year.
Another possibility for Marshawn after the season could be that he follows offensive line coach Tom Cable if he gets hired as a head coach. The two have built a strong relationship that would carry on beyond their tenure in Seattle.
Either way, Lynch could leave everyone guessing, much like his post-game interviews.
