Here’s the first Cyborg debut at UFC 198!
Saturday night at UFC 198, Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino officially made her long-awaited debut in the octagon and didn’t disappoint. Her non-title catch weight bout at 140 last only 81 seconds, as a flurry of punches was enough for referees on hand to stop the fight. While some believe it prematurely ended, her opponents face and scars had told what fans in Brazil needed to see.
Following her 14th victory by knockout, Cyborg declined called out her competition, including Ronda Rousey – saying she just wants to defend her Invicta championship belt (which is 145-lbs).
With her competition like Rousey, current UFC bantamweight champion Miesha Tate and Holly Holm all saying they’ll only fight in 135-weight, this first victory and an imminent drop in weight this summer could force those three to longer avoid having to step into the octagon against Cyborg.
