Ronaldo Continues His Reign
For a second consecutive year, Cristiano Ronaldo has won the prestigious FIFA Ballon d’Or for 2014. Awarded on stage by Theirry Henry, this is now the third time the Portuguese player has been voted the best player in the world, following last season with Real Madrid and 2008 with Man Utd. Much like last season, Lionel Messi is the runner-up while goalkeeper and underdog Manuel Neuer is awarded third place. Ronaldo managed to score 60 goals and win the Champions League, Super Cup, Copa Del Rey and FIFA Club World Cup.
