Cowboys using virtual reality technology for players and coaches

With Tony Romo recently turning 35 and Jerry Jones still pursuing a Hank Moody lifestyle off-the-field, the Dallas Cowboys are getting desperate now that the career of their franchise player is slowly coming to an end soon.

Desperately trying to make sure his most prized player sees some type of success before he leaves the game within the next few seasons, Jerry Jones has struck a deal with StriVR Labs, to use software for to help enhance their preparation for the upcoming 2015 season. Dallas already has a 360-degree view-based stationary camera; but the new virtual reality headsets that quarterbacks, linebackers and safeties wear, will now help coaches see if players are making the right reads and checks on the line of scrimmage live by video review.

Along with drones also used currently doing OTAs, coaches will have a live look-in to the action during practices in complete 3-D. Whether or not the new technology is successful or not remains to be seen for their upcoming season – with health finally in-tact, but the Cowboys are already ahead of the curve among the other teams around the league to make adjustments with cutting edge technology in the video game rooms.
