Does Damian Lillard still want a spot on the all-star team?
The Western Conference All-Star team has dealt with many major injuries over the last month. From Kobe Bryant being selected after his season-ending shoulder injury and now Blake Griffin set to undergo surgery Monday morning for a staph infection – Damian Lillard finally gets his wishes of making the elite squad.
In recent weeks, the star Portland Trail Blazer point guard had become very vocal about no receiving a spot and was using his previous snub as added motivation for his team’s playoff run. He now joins his fellow teammate LaMarcus Aldridge for next weekend’s big event; but the bigger question remains who will be inserted into the starting line-up for Blake Griffin. With James Harden subbing in the starting lineup for Kobe, Klay Thompson could possibly be joining his splash brother Stephen Curry next weekend at tip-off in Madison Square Garden.
