Could the Cleveland Cavaliers be up for sale? That’s what reports out of ESPN are saying. According to Stephen A. Smith, Dan Gilbert is considering selling the team.
With LeBron James not committing to the team long term and speculation about him going to the Los Angeles Lakers or another destination this offseason, Gilbert might be inclined to sell the team while the value is high. Obviously, the team has not performed to their potential and are still waiting for Isaiah Thomas to fully recover and get back to All-Star form, but there has been locker room dysfunction the past few weeks.

At this point, with the team in disarray, it may be best for Gilbert to sell his franchise while it still has some value. Because if King James walks in the offseason and the team implodes, their Brooklyn Nets first round pick will not be their savior moving forward.
