“David Stern not only changed my life but he also made HIV and AIDS acceptable around the world.” (c) Magic Johnson
Last night, former NBA commissioner David Stern was inducted to the Basketball Hall of Fame. Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and Bill Russell would share some kind words for their former boss – even calling him the greatest commissioner in the sports history. During Stern’s 30 year tenure NBA, he essentially helped save the league and changed the landscape of sports broadcasting with permanently removing taped game delays of NBA, as well as in-game rules.
David had a few words to share saying, “I think the future is incredibly bright. The reason I am here is because of thousands of people over the years who have done so much. The league is in spectacular shape going forward under the extraordinary leadership of Adam Silver.”
